The following information is about the characters in Harry Potter .. duhhhh!
Hermione Granger- Hermione's last name was originally going to be Puckle, but did not suit her, so JKRowling changed it to Granger. Hermione is a muggleborn ( as if you didn`t know that. ) Her name is pronounced 'Her-my-oh-nee' (just so you don`t get it wrong.) Hermione's birthday is September 19th.
Draco Malfoy- Draco, in Latin, means Dragon. Malfoy, in Latin, means Evildoer. Dragon Evildoer.
Sirius Black- In Latin, Sirius can mean dog. Black dog = grim.
Gilderoy Lockhart- Gilderoy Lockhart was the one character that JK Rowling depicted from a real live person.
The Weasleys- Molly's maiden name was Prewett. Fred and George were born on, naturally, April Fool's Day (April 1). Ginny (whose real name is Ginevra) is the only girl born into the Weasley family for several generations.
